Because as much of the hardware as possible is recycled or re-used, you have the peace of mind of knowing that your old hardware is being disposed of in as environmentally responsible way as possible and not simply compounding landfill issues.
Customers include Banks, Local Authorities, Corporates and Charities. We are aware that the security of licenced software and customer data on systems passed to us for recycling is of the utmost importance. Most of the disks we collect are shredded here to aid metal recovery. We use 'data-wiping' software on any disks that are re-used prior to the loading of a new operating system, which renders recovery of any of the previous data impossible.
Our own Computer Recycling Program to put computers into the community ensures that there is no comeback to the original donor, for example, in the event of technical problems or hardware failures.
Our free collection service will save money over other methods of disposal.
Any invoices issued covering costs for the recycling of computer hardware or waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) are tax-deductible, which will have balance-sheet/profit & loss account implications.
